Late evening call comes in for a reported crash on south river road route 147. Crews were notified by county of a pickup truck off the road and down an embankment. Engine 29-1 arrived on scene along with Utility 29 and psp to find a ford super duty had impacted and went over a guiderail where it struck a tree, rolled and came to rest in a small creek at the bottom of the hollow. With this command requested rescue 38 to be added. Crews utilized a stokes basket and rope to assist the occupants of the truck back up to the roadway. Susquehanna Twp Ems assisted on scene as well with patient care. Fire remained on scene for a short time after. At the same time a secondary accident happened just south of the first. Dauphin-Middle Paxton Fire’s Rescue 38 cleared the primary scene along with Utility 29 to investigate the second crash. Fire and psp arrived on the 2nd crash to find a car vs van with both vehicles off the roadway and that fire was not needed. Rescue 38 and Utility 29 went available while psp handled the 2nd incident. The next morning Company 29 was called out to another location on South river road to assist for traffic control of another minor crash and then assisted with traffic control while tow would operate to remove the pickup.

Thoughts and prayers are with all parties from both incidents.
