05/01/18 Early afternoon call comes in for Company 38 for a reported Structure/Porch fire in the 38-4 box. As units began to respond to the scene Squad 2 advised county that they had a column. The box was upgraded to a 1st alarm working fire and additional units. Fire fighters went to work right away putting a good hit on the fire. However as the made advancement they ran out of water and backed out. As a water supply was reestablished additional man power arrived on scene hiking up the hill. Crews then began to hit the fire again but the fire had extensively grown on the C side of the structure. Command then requested the 2nd alarm for man power
