Fire Prevention

Dear Parents,
The Halifax Fire Department would like to inform you that some of our members will be visiting your
child for National Fire Prevention Week. We will be talking to the students about what they can do to
prevent fires and what to do in the event of an emergency.
We would also like to invite everyone to visit our station open house to kick off National Fire Prevention
Week on Saturday October 7th at 10:00am. We will have demonstrations, displays, food/drink, and fire
truck rides.
We will be taking some pictures during the events for our website and Facebook page. If you wish that
your child’s picture not to be used please make sure your teacher is aware. We would also ask that if
you are in need of a smoke detector and/or Tot finder please send a note with your child and we will
make every effort to send one home.
